Samsung opens India pre-reservations ahead of July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event

Samsung has opened India pre-reservations for its new foldable phones ahead of its July 22 Galaxy Unpacked launch event in London.

Samsung has opened pre-reservations in India for its upcoming Galaxy foldable phones ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked launch event on 22 July in London, moving to build anticipation before the devices are officially announced.

Customers can reserve the new devices through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon.in, Flipkart.com and leading retail outlets by paying a refundable token of Rs 999, meaning there is no financial risk if they change their mind after launch. Those who pre-reserve are set to receive benefits worth Rs 2,799 upon purchasing a device, according to Samsung. In the US, the company is offering a $30 credit for customers who go on to complete a pre-order after the announcement.

The event, themed “A New Shape Unfolds,” is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and, for the first time, a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Reports suggest the Fold 8 Ultra could start at Rs 1,99,990, the standard Fold 8 at Rs 1,74,999, and the Flip 8 at Rs 1,19,999 — up from last year’s starting prices of Rs 1,74,999 for the Fold and Rs 1,09,999 for the Flip.

Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and showcase its long-anticipated Android XR smart glasses, though the glasses may not be available to buy immediately.
