Inside Carrum Mobility’s Rs 400 crore bet on eastern India
Fleet management company Carrum Mobility says it is running at an annualised revenue run rate of Rs 400 crore as it expands into Kolkata with a new Uber tie-up.
Fleet management company Carrum Mobility has disclosed it is running at an annualised revenue run rate of Rs 400 crore, even as it expands into a sixth Indian city with the launch of Kolkata operations.
The Gurugram-headquartered firm, which supplies vehicles to ride-hailing platforms, has partnered with Uber to onboard drivers in Kolkata, marking its first entry into the eastern India market.
Carrum Mobility currently runs a fleet of more than 4,500 cars spread across Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru and Kolkata, offering driver-partner onboarding, vehicle maintenance, compliance management and day-to-day fleet operations to ride-hailing platforms.
Founder and CEO Karan Jain said the company, founded in 2024, provides business-to-business mobility solutions to ride-hailing platforms and plans to keep expanding after the Kolkata launch.
‘We aim to onboard around 1,000 driver partners in the city over the next 12 months,’ Jain said, adding that a ‘structured onboarding programme’ covering vehicle handling, safety practices and platform training has already been introduced for Kolkata’s driver-partners.
The move places Carrum Mobility among a growing number of B2B mobility players scaling operations in India’s ride-hailing sector, with eastern India now firmly on its expansion map.
