Emirates Expands Premium Economy to Six Indian Cities as A380 Lands in Delhi

Emirates is deepening its investment in the Indian market with two moves at once: the introduction of its flagship Airbus A380 on the Dubai–Delhi route from October 25, and an expansion of Premium Economy seating to six Indian cities by the end of the same month.

The A380 will replace one of Emirates’ daily Dubai–Delhi flights, bringing its four-class cabin configuration, including Premium Economy, to the route. The remaining three daily services between the two cities will continue to operate on retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft. Delhi becomes the third Indian city to host regular A380 flights, joining Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the expansion reflects the airline’s continued commitment to India, adding that Emirates is also widening access to its Premium Economy cabin across the country.

By the end of October, Premium Economy will be available on Emirates flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi. The airline said nearly half of its scheduled weekly flights to India will carry the cabin class by that point.

Emirates said the changes reflect growing passenger demand on routes between India and Dubai, and that further service enhancements are planned as part of its ongoing investment in the Indian market.
