Dixon Technologies just built GIGABYTE’s first gaming laptop on Indian soil
Dixon Technologies has partnered with GIGABYTE to manufacture the GAMING A16, the Taiwanese brand's first gaming laptop made in India.
Dixon Technologies has struck a new manufacturing partnership with GIGABYTE to produce the Taiwanese hardware maker’s first gaming laptop built entirely on Indian soil, the GIGABYTE GAMING A16. The deal pairs Dixon’s contract manufacturing capacity with GIGABYTE’s global engineering and quality standards, letting the laptop line roll off an Indian production line for the first time.
The GAMING A16 runs on an AMD Ryzen processor and is designed to handle both gaming and AI-ready computing workloads using AMD’s underlying technologies. GIGABYTE said its leadership team worked closely with Dixon Technologies through every stage of the project, from planning to production, to make sure the India-built units meet the same global benchmarks for performance, reliability and quality that the brand applies elsewhere.
Sinclair Hsiao, GIGABYTE’s vice president of global sales, visited India for the launch alongside senior leaders from the company’s headquarters covering Product Management, Procurement, Materials Planning and Quality Assurance. ‘The launch of our first Made in India gaming laptop lineup, powered by AMD Ryzen processors, is more than a manufacturing milestone, it represents GIGABYTE’s long-term commitment to the Indian market,’ Hsiao said.
Hsiao added that India has become one of the most exciting technology and gaming markets in the world, and that GIGABYTE believes Indian consumers deserve products built to the same standards gamers everywhere expect from the brand. ‘This is only the beginning. We will continue investing in India, strengthening our local manufacturing capabilities, and bringing more world-class gaming technologies closer to Indian consumers,’ he said.
For Dixon Technologies, the tie-up adds another global electronics brand to its manufacturing roster at a time when India is positioning itself as an alternative production base for consumer technology. GIGABYTE said the arrangement strengthens its supply chain resilience and improves how responsively it can serve the Indian market, which it describes as one of the world’s most dynamic PC and gaming markets.
The company said the growth is being driven by an expanding community of gamers, creators, students and technology enthusiasts in India, and that the GAMING A16 launch marks the start of a new chapter in GIGABYTE’s presence in the country, built on deeper local manufacturing and continued investment.
