Central University of Rajasthan Has One Research Fellow Seat Open — Applications Close Today
CURAJ is accepting online applications for one Senior Research Fellow post at its Ajmer campus, with the window closing on 12 July 2026.
The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has announced a single opening for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at its campus in Bandarsindri, Ajmer, and the application window closes today, 12 July 2026.
The role is open to candidates holding an M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Botany, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or an equivalent discipline, with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent CGPA. Applicants must also hold a CSIR-UGC NET, UGC NET (including Lectureship eligibility), and/or a valid GATE score, along with at least two years of relevant Research & Development experience.
With only one post on offer, competition is expected to be high. Candidates apply online through the official website, curaj.ac.in, and CURAJ has advised applicants to submit well ahead of the deadline to avoid last-minute server slowdowns or upload errors, since applications after the closing date will generally not be entertained.
The position is purely temporary and project-linked, in keeping with how CURAJ typically runs its research fellowships — Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate, and Project Assistant roles tied to government-funded and collaborative projects across departments including Microbiology, Biotechnology and Environmental Science.
Fellowship pay follows the norms of the sponsoring funding agency, which could be CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, or ICAR depending on the project, with House Rent Allowance admissible as per rules; CURAJ says most such fellowship posts do not charge an application fee, though candidates are told to confirm this from the official notification.
Selection runs through screening of applications against the eligibility criteria, shortlisting based on academic record and research experience, an interview or personal discussion (in person or online), and document verification before a final offer is made — meeting the minimum eligibility bar does not guarantee an interview call.
