DSSSB’s PGT History Result Draws 10,000+ Applicants for One Post Code — Here’s the Outcome
DSSSB declared its Tier-I provisional nomination result for PGT History (Post Code 831/24), one of its most competitive teaching-post cycles.
A single teaching-post code drew over 10,000 applicants this recruitment cycle, and the outcome is now public. The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has declared the Tier-I result for Post Graduate Teacher (History), Male and Female, under Post Code 831/24, covering vacancies in the Directorate of Education (DoE), GNCTD, and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
The post was advertised under Advertisement No. 01/2025, with selection built around a single-tier online written examination assessing general awareness, teaching aptitude, and subject knowledge specific to History.
DSSSB has published a provisional nomination list as an official PDF at dsssb.delhi.gov.in, organised by category — UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD — that candidates are advised to search directly using their roll number rather than trusting third-party aggregator sites. A personal scorecard is separately available by logging into dsssbonline.nic.in with an Application Number and date of birth.
Appearing on the list carries a caveat: DSSSB describes the ranking as provisional, built purely from Tier-I marks combined with the preference order candidates submitted, and it does not by itself guarantee a job offer.
Shortlisted candidates now enter the e-dossier phase, where postgraduate mark sheets, B.Ed. certification, and identity or category documents must be uploaded through the OARS portal inside the window DSSSB sets, ahead of formal verification by DoE or NDMC.
DSSSB has also reserved the right to amend the result if errors surface later, and warned that any inconsistency between a candidate’s e-dossier and their original application could result in disqualification.
