Samsung’s foldable pre-reservation push signals confidence ahead of July 22 Unpacked event

Samsung has launched a pre-reservation drive for its next Galaxy foldable smartphones in India, opening bookings weeks before its global Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22. Customers can reserve a device for a refundable Rs 999 token through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, Amazon India, Flipkart and leading retail stores.

The move is designed to build early demand momentum for a lineup Samsung has not officially named, though it is widely expected to include the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Customers who pre-reserve and later complete a purchase will receive benefits worth Rs 2,799.

Samsung says the new foldables will combine AI with new designs to deliver more personalised, adaptive experiences, continuing a multi-generation push to make its devices thinner, lighter and stronger while adding AI capabilities aimed at everyday use.

The Galaxy Unpacked event, set for July 22 in London and streamed live from 6:30 pm IST on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and YouTube, is also expected to bring the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and Samsung’s long-anticipated Android XR smart glasses.
