Emirates marks 25 years in Hyderabad with plan for A380 services

Emirates vice president Mohammed Sarhan met Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy to mark 25 years of the airline's Hyderabad operations, and announced plans for A380 services.

Emirates marked 25 years of operations in Hyderabad on Saturday, with the airline’s vice president (India), Mohammed Sarhan, paying a courtesy call on Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy to commemorate the milestone.

During the meeting, Sarhan informed the chief minister of Emirates’ willingness to launch Airbus A380 services in the city. Revanth Reddy welcomed the airline’s operations and requested an increase in Emirates’ overall flight services to Hyderabad.

The chief minister also raised the subject of two new airports coming up in the state, at Warangal and Adilabad, and urged Emirates to extend its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations to those locations as well. He assured the airline that the state government would provide all necessary facilities for flight operations.

Emirates’ 25-year run in Hyderabad has coincided with the city’s growth as a business and technology hub, and the airline’s plan for A380 services signals continued confidence in demand from the market.
